Making Tax Digital
Making Tax Digital for Business (MTDfB) is a key part of the government’s plans to make it easier for individuals and businesses to get their tax right and keep on top of their affairs. Come April 2019, under the proposed rules, which have been issued subject to consultation, VAT registered businesses with a turnover over the VAT threshold (currently £85,000) will have to keep their records digitally and provide their VAT return information to HMRC through Making Tax Digital functional compatible software.
